Tree Adaptation Risk Management Project

What will climate change do to Alberta forests?

In 2012 the Climate Change & Emissions Management (CCEMC) Corporation provided funding to Tree Improvement Alberta to conduct research into how tree populations can best adapt to climate change.

Predicted climate change will expose Alberta’s trees to stress that could have a negative impact on future forest health. Finding ways to help trees adapt may mitigate some of the risk.
